We often talk to our little boys about the baby we hope to have join our family soon. Just for fun, we will ask them what we should name the baby. One day, our three year old suggested "Materbaby". We had a good laugh and now affectionately refer to our hopeful baby as "Materbaby"!

Blake

Blake is three years old...and full of it! He is a crazy boy, loves trucks, trains, horses, food and especially playing with his brother. He has a great imagination and an ever-expanding vocabulary that has me constantly laughing. He says things like, "Mom, me freat (freak) out!" or "Me fustated."  We love it!  He has such a tender heart and loves to snuggle, give hugs and kisses, and let everyone know he loves them. Blake asks every day when "his baby" is coming. He prays for us to "find his baby" each night and cannot wait to be a big brother.

Blake came to us through a designated adoption, which means we made the connection with his birthmom independent of an agency. We adopted him when he was 10 weeks old. We have an open adoption. We call and text his birthmom often. We have visited her, she has visited us. We love having the opportunity to share his life with her and have her be a part of our lives. It's amazing.
